Summarized are the findings of several research studies designed to detect sources of teacher stress and burnout. Attention is paid to the impact of burnout on subjective well-being, as well as variables that moderated the impact of job stressors and burnout on subjective well-being of teachers. These variables include coping strategies, social support and personality variables such as self-efficacy, self-esteem, locus of control.
