AB  - This study deals with the research in instructional quality with respect to the following components and characteristics: (a) motivation; (b) supportive classroom climate; (c) time management; (d) goal-orientation; (e) teacher's performance. The study is divided into two parts. The first part serves as introduction of an assessment instrument of selected components and characteristics of instructional quality. The second part presents: (a) the research methodology of video study; (b) introducing teachers' order techniques in relation to the quality of foreign language instruction; (c) introducing a profile of average foreign language instruction of the best teacher.
